What are the ages Caring For Kids are licensing to provide child care for?
We care for children ages 12 months to school age.
What is your center ratio?
We have two classrooms one is for toddlers and the other is for preschool/school age children. The ratio for toddler room is 1:4. The ratio for three year olds 1:10, four year olds 1:12, school age 1:18 for three year olds.
Do you have teachers?
Yes, we have state approved lead teachers. All our lead teachers have been approved by the State of Michigan Child Care Licensing to teacher early childhood education.
Do you have an educational program?
Yes, we have an educational program for all children. Each week the center has a theme and the weekly lesson is based around the theme. Caring For Kids learning approach emphasizes on active learning which means students have direct, hands-on experiences with, objects, events, and ideas. Children’s interests and choices are at the heart of our curriculum. They construct their own knowledge through interactions with the world and the people around them. Children take the first step in the learning process by making choices and following through on their plans and decisions.
In active learning settings, teachers expand children’s thinking with diverse materials and nurturing interactions. Our content areas are organized in eight main categories the categories are (1) independence (2) social and emotional development; (3) physical development and health; (4) language, literacy, and communication; (5) mathematics; (6) creative arts; (7) science; and (8) social studies.
Is there an additional charge for meals and/or snacks?
No, there is no additional charge for meals and/or snacks.
Do you offer transportation options for school age children?
Caring For Kids has set up bus transportation for school age children. Rogers Elementary School located in Auburn Hills and Pontiac P.E.A.C.E preschool, this includes pick up and drop off at Caring For Kids.
Center staff will escort children on and off the bus. Before and After School childcare includes breakfast, pm snack, dinner, and assistance with homework assignments.
